Buxton Innovations LLC is a privately held Ohio company founded by Jesse Buxton, PhD. It is the home for a small portfolio of ventures that share one way of working: careful measurement, honest modeling, and first-principles thinking applied to real commercial problems. Some of that work is advisory for clients. Some is products built in-house.
The through-line is methodological, not vertical. The work has touched healthcare, energy, critical infrastructure, and high-energy physics, but what carries across them is the discipline, not the industry. New problems, in any sector, are welcome.

Founder
Jesse Buxton, PhD
Data Science Program Manager at Karna LLC, leading data-science work in the healthcare sector. His career has also spanned operational data science in energy (AEP), critical-infrastructure research (Battelle), and experimental high-energy physics (CERN). He holds a PhD in Physics from The Ohio State University and an MBA from OSU’s Fisher College of Business.
He is named on two patents and three peer-reviewed publications. Buxton Innovations is the vehicle through which he operates work outside of his employer.
